Production Operator

Location: 200 Smith Lane Jackson, TN 38301

Compensation: $20.50

1st shift 6:30am-2:30pm2nd shift 2:30pm-10:30pm

SUMMARY

Assembles metal products, partially or completely, working at bench or on shop floor by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Overtime as required

GENERAL

Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.

Bolts, clips, screws, roller swage, or otherwise fasten parts together

Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.

Operates drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.

MONORAIL

Place parts in specified relationship to each other.

Tend machines to perform specific operations under the Monorail.

Work at different work stations as production needs require.

Work on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.

Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of parts and final assemblies.

Paint according to the print.

Package product securely for shipment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
