Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic educational team near Summerville, South Carolina. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in providing prehensive speech and language services to our diverse student population. You will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and munication disorders, empowering our students to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and munication abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' specific needs and goals
- Provide direct intervention and therapy services to students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop strategies and support students' academic and social success
- Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Document and maintain accurate records of assessment results, treatment plans, progress reports, and other relevant data
- Stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid South Carolina state license or eligibility for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children and familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong knowledge of various speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and evidence-based interventions
- Excellent munication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students overe munication challenges
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
