About this job

Job Responsibilities:
* Utilize Airflow and Environmental chambers to test various motor, blower, and drive platforms
* Develop and maintain data acquisition systems for reliability test stands as required
* Assist in the development of test standards and safety documentation in coordination with Lab leader.
* Provide training for new employees and temporary employees on test equipment and safety protocols
* Maintain documentation and records for Agency compliance (UL DAP)
* Complete Preventive Maintenance and Lab Standard runs to ensure data accuracy
* Flexibility to utilize lab equipment to aid in covering gaps in testing; including volt meters, oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, data acquisition, etc.
* Collaborate in team environment with Application, Electrical, Software, Mechanical and Electro-magnetic engineers and technicians.

* Provide detailed test reports and feedback to Engineering as well as external Customers

Minimum Qualifications:
* Associates or Bachelor Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, EET, MET, or related experience
* Knowledge of electric circuits and basic equipment used for testing (oscilloscope, multimeter, Power meter, etc.)
* Knowledge of wiring and mechanical systems for test setups.
* High respect for safety and following identified safety expectations.
* Report writing skills to include Microsoft Office.
* Good work ethic requiring little supervision in completing tasks.
* Ability to trouble shoot, rapidly learn operational characteristics of new products, and communicate issues to the internal customers
* STRONG organizational skills, drive towards continuous improvement, drive to serve the customer,attention to detail
* Ability to recognize business needs and address proactively
* Demonstrated experience participating in and performing effectively in a project team environment

Desired Qualifications:
* Previous experience with motor and electronics testing or HVAC Equipment
* Familiar with test procedures for EMI, HIPOT, Electrical Transients, ESD, and others
* Work with Electronics and programming
* Familiar with agency testing - UL, CSA, IEC
* Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
* Green Belt training
* Coop/Intern or 2 years experience.
* Familiarity with ECM motors associated controls and induction motors and airflow systems
