Department: Information Technology / Network Operations

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Automation Engineer with a full-scope polygraph to join our Network Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network engineering principles and a passion for automation. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions to improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to automate network configuration, deployment, and management tasks.
  • Work closely with network engineers and IT staff to identify opportunities for automation within network operations.
  • Implement and manage network automation tools and platforms, specifically Ansible, to streamline network processes.
  • Monitor network performance and automate fault detection, troubleshooting, and resolution processes.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and practices in network automation scripts and tools.
  • Document automation processes and maintain accurate records of network configurations and changes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on network automation to network operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on automation.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools, specifically Ansible.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), network infrastructure components (routers, switches, firewalls), and operating systems (Linux, Windows).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must have a current full-scope polygraph.

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications in network engineering (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP) and/or automation tools (e.g., Ansible Certification).
  • Knowledge of cloud networking concepts and experience with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Experience with AAP (Ansible Automation Platform) is also a plus.
