We are looking to add a skilled CNC Programmer to our staff! This position would support machining operations on the first shift.


SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Responsible for precision CNC machine programming, setup, and first piece for lathes, mills and

multi-axis equipment including production and prototype parts utilizing MasterCAM.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create, review, and edit precision computer numeric controlled (CNC) machining programs

- Confer daily with operations team to determine requirements to assure efficient workflow

- Maintain programming data base and files for each part and machining center.

- Provide training, guidance and expertise to all manufacturing teams


SPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED:

- Understand capability of manufacturing equipment, operations, software, etc

- Create, review and edit computer numeric controlled (CNC) machining programs

- Perform machine set-ups including first piece to produce conforming parts

- Provide training, guidance and expertise to machinists, operators and other teams

- Maintain programming data base and files for each part and machining center

- Support manufacturing operations team by providing input for routers and process flow

- Develop and recommend resources and methods for equipment, tooling materials, processes, etc

- Track and evaluate costs and efficiency including tooling, material and cycle

- Assist in providing information for quotations and contract reviews

Sufficient ability to read, write and speak in English and be understood; and ability to follow instructions

Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to be able to read and view paperwork, ledgers, computer screens, etc.

Sufficient manual dexterity to type and operate office equipment as related to fulfilling assigned duties

Ability to understand and fully support the company Mission, Safety and Quality policies to the letter of each


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School/GED diploma from an accredited institution

7-10 years of applicable CNC programming experience in a manufacturing/production environment or related educational experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must have ability to speak and sight/hearing senses; or use prosthetics to enable and adequately perform the job

Must be able to stand/sit continuously daily and twist, turn, bend and reach freely without pain or discomfort

Must have sufficient dexterity in both hands and arms to perform routine typing and use of office equipment

Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and be able to travel using all modes of transportation including airlines

Physical activity: Sitting, walking, standing, typing, holding, grasping, etc. approximately 85% of time

Bending, reaching outwards/above shoulders, and lifting twenty pounds unassisted approximately 15% of time

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Job activities are generally performed in a lighted and ventilated office environment in conjunction with a factory setting

where one will be exposed to changes in ambient temperature, noise and dust without abnormal hazards or risks.
