To support our growth, FS-Curtis has an excellent opportunity for a Customer Service Representative at our St. Louis, MO world headquarters’ facility. Our Customer Service Representative will work to promote outstanding customer service that exceeds customer expectations. If you have proven experience working in customer service, excellent knowledge of industry trends and techniques, are an excellent communicator with strong leadership and interpersonal skills, we would like to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of company customer service policies, be well-versed in product knowledge, recognize and act on issues that need to be escalated for resolution.
  • Listen to customer service issues; anticipate and understand customer needs by responding to their signals; advise and recommend unique and innovative solutions to each problem that benefit both the customer and the company.
  • Answer incoming customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, products, service questions, and general client concerns.
  • Receive, enter, and ensure accuracy of sales orders.
  • Inform customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by the customer.
  • Update customer information in database during and/or after each interaction.
  • Proactively interface with internal departments (Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Marketing, and Shipping) to resolve issues and provide solutions for customer.


Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • Two years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience in Industrial Manufacturing or Air Compressors preferred.
  • Strong understanding of how to create highly satisfied customers.
  • Firm commitment to customer service excellence in all circumstances.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to speak clearly and persuasively, solicit and listen to feedback, respond promptly to requests and questions, manage difficult or emotional situations.
  • Knowledge of sales order and production processes.
  • Strong understanding of business processes with the ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and deliver requested output effectively.
  • Sound judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills; ability to interact positively with teammates at various levels across the company and customers.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office programs; experience with SAP, preferred.
