Job Description:

The Information Services Consultant will provide key services in aligning technology initiatives with enterprise goals to optimize service delivery and maximize operational effectiveness within the IT environment. This role calls for an astute professional with a comprehensive understanding of systems engineering, IT operations, and service integration. The incumbent will act as a liaison, providing consultation on best practices for technology governance, operational planning, and the implementation of complex IT solutions. The Information Services Consultant ensures the alignment of IT services with the strategic objectives of the organization and compliance with the Department of Justice (DOJ) IT policies.

Note: Position is contingent on contract award.

Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance as required by contract.
• This position is onsite.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree with 10 years related experience or Master's Degree with 8 years related experience.
• Relevant certifications in EA, ITSM, or systems engineering preferred.
• Proven experience in IT systems integration and systems engineering support.
• In-depth understanding of Enterprise Architecture (EA) principles
  Experience with IT service management and quality control protocols.
• Knowledge of configuration management and IT operations best practices.
• Analytical mindset for developing telemetry and operational metrics.
• Experience with cloud services, virtual environment migrations, and managed services.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining IT operations documentation.
• Familiarity with EOIR IT infrastructure and service requirements.
• Strong leadership skills for providing expert consultation and guidance.
• Clear and effective communication abilities, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver IT consulting services to optimize system performance, integration, and harmonization across the technology stack.
• Guide enterprise architecture initiatives in accordance with organizational strategies and SOW requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement quality assurance and configuration management methodologies.
• Provide strategic insights into service management to enhance operational procedures and maintenance activities.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements for systems infrastructure, cloud services management, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Support the IT Operations Center by contributing to performance reporting and dashboards aligned with SLAs.
• Contribute to the development and revision of project documentation, ensuring software and hardware are updated compliantly.
• Participate in Transition Plan development, ensuring effective handover of IT systems and operations with minimal business impact.
• Inform decision-making processes through analytical assessments of current enterprise management capabilities.
• Develop and enhance automated tools for IT service provisioning, including monitoring and management of the IT environment.
