Our Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, IN is looking for a Mechanical Intern to join the team for the 2024 Summer Semester. The internship will allow a student to gain working knowledge of their area of study in the real world. This person will assist different members of the team to learn different systems throughout the distillery. They will shadow a mentor and learn the processes onsite. This role will also require the intern to help with specific projects throughout the distillery.
What will you do?
- Identify critical equipment to the Distilling Process
- Grain Receiving through Alcohol transfer to Barreling.
- Critical Barreling Equipment
- Alcohol received from Distillation thru to rack or skid storage.
- Critical Spare Requirements
- Lead times Inventory comparison
- Gap analysis, what should be stocked. Estimated additional cost to add critical spares to inventory.
- Standardization
- Identify opportunities to phase at duplicates.
- Identify second source of critical/long lead time spares.
What do you need to bring to the table?
- Be a currently enrolled student in an mechanical major or similar focus at a college or university
- Be available Monday-Friday onsite for the duration of the internship.
