Job Description
Job Summary:
  • Provide full life cycle contract management, including pre and post award administration of a variety of contract types, including FFP, T&M, IDIQ, etc.
  • Process prime contracts, task orders, and modifications, and issue appropriate subcontract agreements in accordance with the prime contract and company’s proposal.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, flow down requirements, and that contracts are in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications, government regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify risk, provides contracts advice, interpretation of contract requirements to program management and contracts leadership.
  • Review solicitation requests to ensure compliance with terms and conditions and negotiate contract terms, as needed, in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Process contractual agreements, including subcontract agreements, consulting service agreements, NDA’s, teaming agreements and other customer agreements to be consistent with the company’s policies and best practices.
  • Manage contract and subcontract termination, prepare termination documentation, and coordinate the distribution of contract termination information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of various reports and tracking mechanisms for both internal and external distribution.
  • Operate effectively in a team environment collaborating and coordinating within Contracts and across the organization.
  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced contracts administrators and maintain current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute a wide variety of different contracts covering a range of transactions.
  • Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.
  • Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters.
  • Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension or renewal according to what’s best for the company.
  • Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.
  • Other duties and ad-hoc projects as needed, in addition to the above

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Contracts, Business Administration, Management, Acquisition, or related field.
  • Demonstrated contracts and acquisition management experience is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Contracts, legal, or related field required.
  • Software/Professional Services industry experience preferred.
  • Experience contracting with state and local governments strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of the government acquisition/RFP process at the State and Local levels, is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, to include the ability to effectively communicate face-to-face with customers and other professionals regarding complex issues real-time in a professional manner.
  • Extraordinary inter-personal skills in a diverse and potentially geographically dispersed team environment are essential and the individual must possess very strong abilities in building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills is required
  • Strong business acumen and team partnering mentality is essential
  • Ability to solve problems and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Computer skills must be proficient to include the use of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and documentation databases.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and Conga is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer

Physical Demands:

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
  • Working conditions may include occasionally performing the requirements under certain time and resources constraints.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates in person and via, email, video conferencing and telephone
