Position Summary

The inventory control clerk position manages inventory through database and maintain levels required on a daily basis to meet distribution demands.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into computer database.
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
  • Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.
  • Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights.
  • Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory.
  • Daily warehouse walks to point out any unsafe or inventory issues.
  • Follows HACCP and SQF requirements for food quality and safety.

Education and/or Experience

Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills and Reasoning Ability

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Certification to operate equipment.
