Job Description
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining proper inventories at Healthcare facilities. This will include working with the Delivery Route Drivers to ensure the required goods have been delivered, maintaining accurate counts of products on the supplied linen storage carts, maintain good customer communication at all times, relay any issues or special requests to the Linen Manager. Maintain a professional look and attitude at all times while performing duties.

Proficiency Qualifications:
Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills. Be capable of performing simple math with accuracy. Be capable of being trained to perform the inventory functions. Capable of pushing or pulling linen carts weighing hundreds of pounds and lifting stacks or bags of linen weighing up to 40 lbs. Candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to problem solve and implement fix action with little or no supervision.

Essential Physical Functions:
  1. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds (customer linen).
  2. Ability to maneuver heavy linen carts with a push/pull factor of 35 lbs. safely throughout the hospital.
  3. Ability to see, with or without corrective lenses.
  4. Ability to hear, with or without corrective devices.
  5. Ability to be mobile
  6. Ability to reach over head occasionally
  7. Ability to bend to knees from the waist occasionally
  8. Ability to twist left and right occasionally
  9. Ability to read or recognize customer orders
Essential Functions:
  • Some assignments remove soiled linen from the designated areas on all floors, combining baskets when necessary.
  • May need to deliver soiled linen carts to the dock by a specified time.
    • During the entire soiled linen process, the employee will use Universal Precautions and supplied Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Some assignments take clean linen carts from dock and the clean linen storage area, to the different floors for re-stocking. This position requires a high level of professionalism and customer service due to the customer-facing nature of the position.
  • May need to re-stock clean linen carts with the required amounts of linen.
    • Linens include, but are not limited to; flat sheets, draw sheets, knit fitted sheets, under pads, bath blankets, bath towels, wash cloths, tie gowns, I.V. gowns, ISO gowns, P.J. pants, 10-X gowns, pillow cases and multi sizes of scrubs.
  • Enter the clean linen amounts used in each area.
  • Return any extra clean linen to the clean linen storage area.
