Dakotaland Feeds, LLC is a livestock feed manufacturer and distributor headquartered in Huron, South Dakota, that also operates five company owned retail locations. The company manufactures and distributes dry and liquid feeds, minerals, and co-products merchandised from surrounding ethanol plants. Dakotaland Feeds, LLC strives to achieve the most efficient methods to distribute livestock feed throughout geography served by its cooperative owners. The key to the company’s success is its superior customer service-oriented sales and support staff who go the extra mile to serve the needs of its farmer-producers and dealer partners.

Position Purpose:

The Production / Maintenance Supervisor for our Dakotaland Feeds manufacturing facility in Huron, SD provides day to day supervision for the production and maintenance team in the areas of safety, quality, and executing the production schedule. Use of preventative maintenance system, organizing daily maintenance, parts, and timelines. Responsible for driving improved performance, plant asset utilization and positive employee engagement.

Other responsibilities include: Managing plant resources to optimize efficiencies to meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations. Creating a positive work environment that supports continuous improvement and employee engagement.

Qualifications

Experience-Education:

Bachelor’s or Technical degree in Ag Business / Mechanized Ag Engineering, or 3+ years equivalent experience in related field. Experience in program management and administration.

Experience-Education (Preferred):

Past maintenance supervisor with 3 or more years in a manufacturing facility.

Feed mill supervisor or leadman with 3 or more years’ experience.

Competencies-Skills (Preferred):

Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.

Farm / processing background, desired not required
