Pay

  • $40,000.00-$119,999.00 annually

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, backhoes, trenchers, bulldozers, and loaders, to perform various tasks such as excavating, backfilling, trenching, ditching, clearing, looming, fine grading, and transporting materials.
  • Execute precise and controlled movements of heavy equipment to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Perform final clean-up operations, including removing debris, leveling surfaces, and ensuring the area is safe and clear of obstructions.
  • Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the equipment and vehicles used, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Conduct visual inspections of the equipment and vehicles on a weekly basis, identifying and reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating heavy equipment, ensuring the safety of oneself, other workers, and the surrounding environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations on the job site.
  • Follow project specifications and instructions provided by supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Job requirements

  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for the appropriate class
  • Demonstrate average communication skills (Level 3) to effectively communicate with team members and follow instructions
  • Ability to safely operate and transport heavy equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols
  • Desired experience as an Equipment Operator, Heavy Equipment Operator, CDL Driver, or Loader
  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in operating heavy equipment and driving with a CDL
  • Maintain a clean driving record with no DUI/DWI incidents within the last five years
  • No serious driving violations or accidents within the last five years
  • Pass a thorough background check
  • Reside in Andrews or be willing to relocate to the area
  • Able to operate a backhoe confidently is a must
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
