DESCRIPTION:


We are seeking a talented Lead Housekeeper/Server for an UHNW family in East Hampton, NY. This position reports to the Household Manager and encompasses detailed housekeeping and household organization services, meal service, and pet care. You must be able to travel to Manhattan with guests and/or principal and stay in-residence in the off-season on request roughly 60+ days a year. Management of 4-6 seasonal housekeepers is required. If youd prefer to live on property, this can be considered. The role requires a world class commitment to providing 6 Star service to ensure seamless resident and guest experience, with complete schedule flexibility and availability.


*This role is full time onsite in East Hampton, NY with travel to Manhattan, NY for special circumstances throughout the year and other properties as requested.

*Must be authorized to work in the United States.


Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):


Housekeeping and Organization:


  • Perform and maintain daily detailed housekeeping service including inspections of the property to ensure all areas are clean, organized and maintained, including managing 4-6 housekeepers in the summer to a 6-star quality and attention to detail.
  • Utilize daily/weekly/monthly housekeeping checklists to physically complete all checklist items
  • Remain committed to maintaining rigorous organization standards including all inventories and supply lists and project/task lists in coordination with House Manager.
  • Utilize the Service Manual to ensure world-class levels of cleaning, food preparation, and service
  • Laundry & linen care
  • Steam master bedroom and guest bedroom linens daily when in use
  • Launder, iron, de-lint, fold, hang and put away household linens and clothes for principal and guests as needed following the household standard practices
  • Routinely organize closets including clothing, coat, and luggage
  • Changing linens according to the bedding schedule and household standards
  • Reconcile laundry and maintain organized and labeled linen closets
  • Grocery & errand shopping as needed
  • Maintain the integrity of household art and rare/unique/collectible items in conjunction with all staff members
  • Serve as the aesthetic eyes of the households focused on preserving the aesthetic and architectural integrity of the households
  • Perform daily inspections of the properties, reporting issues to the House Manager
  • Receiving, sorting, and monitoring for mail and package deliveries daily
  • Provide vendor access as requested by House Manager when not present

Meal Service:


  • Assist in the kitchen with meal preparation
  • Set table setting based on the needs of the meal provided by the Household Manager
  • Serve and cleanup after family meals, business meetings, and special events
  • Serve appetizers, drinks, and dinner for formal and informal dinners, parties, or at-home meetings


Principal and Guest Reception and Concierge Services:


  • Receive principal, family and guests upon arrival as requested
  • Packing and unpacking as requested
  • Laundry, steaming, and ironing as requested
  • Carefully and clearly answer the telephone following all service standards and procedures as needed when House Manager is offsite
  • Greet and cater to family and guests according to household service standards and procedures


Pet Care:


  • Take thoughtful care of the family domestic animals, and any other pets that may visit the house, in the owners absence, as requested.
  • Maintain feeding schedule; Keep inventory of pet food and medications and supplements as requested
  • Assist with preparation for trips, including checklists of needed supplies, food, medications, etc. as requested
  • Shopping for pet food and supplies as needed
  • Maintain traveling bag for animals as needed
  • Keep and maintain stock of toys and treats as needed
  • Stay overnight at the house as often as needed for pet care
  • Assist with pet care for dogs of other family members as needed


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must be able to pass an in depth background check and provide excellent references

  • Bi-lingual is required
  • Must have a valid drivers license

Compensation:


  • $45 per hour and DOE - Full time
  • EOE
