About the Opportunity:
· Job Title: Punch Press Operator
· Pay: $21.70/Hour
· Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
· Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Thurs 5:30AM-2:30PM and Fri 5AM-9AM with required O/T from time to time.
Daily functions:
- Performs all duties and responsibilities with an emphasis punch press machine operation.
- With close supervision, operate different types of equipment, by controlling their operation.
- Supply production with parts to ensure continuous workflow.
- Cross train on various machines to fill in when needed.
- Performs frequent quality checks.
- Maintain working knowledge of all programs and tooling.
- Ability to work and communicate well with others.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Work within all safety guidelines.
- Change tooling.
- Cross training on various positions to ensure maximum output.
- Miscellaneous work duties and projects as directed.
Desired qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Capable of reading blueprints and understanding work orders.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to use power tools such as drills.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift to 75 pounds occasionally during the shift.
- Regularly bends, twists, stoops, pushes, pulls, and reaches with hands and arms. Must be able to stand or sit as needed for the entire shift.
- Very keen vision and hearing are required.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Must have good physical strength and stamina, good hand-eye coordination and good dexterity in hand manipulation and muscle coordination.
