Position Summary

The Field Services Manager will be a critical member of the OTECH Support Services Core Team. The Field Services Manager will oversee and align field services functions in support of OTECH programs. The Field Services Manager shall ensure that Field Services personnel issues are addressed clearly, fairly, and in a timely manner. The Field Service Manager shall ensure that the tools and execution of field service support provide OTECH with safe, progressive, efficient, and compliant solutions. The Field Services Manager will collect, prepare, and present analysis, planning, metrics, in the support of all field services activities. The Field Services Manager is a hybrid position located in Hanover, MD. The right candidate will have the ability to travel domestically and overseas up to 20% of the year.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Field Services Manager will manage a group of diverse Field Services personnel and execute the following:

* Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work as needed; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
* Coordinate with Program Managers to ensure appropriate resourcing of Field Services personnel in support of program execution.
* Provide a high level of internal and external customer support.
* Keep track of field resources and the ability to dispatch skilled, specialized, or unique services to OTECH projects.
* Ensure Field Service personnel are trained in and execute tasking compliant with OTECH, Contract, and site regulations.
* Manage the group in a manner that supports OTECH's core values; Do Things Right; Solve Complex Problems; Grow Together; Outperform Expectations; Own the Challenge

Qualifications

REQUIRED

* Bachelor's degree in management, technical discipline, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
* Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated ability at a lead/supervisory level.
* In depth understanding of field services operations including but not limited to fabrication, assembly, installation and testing of electro-mechanical systems, including hydraulics, propulsion, manipulator, fiber optic, navigation, and subsea environmental sensing equipment.
* Professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles and a familiarity with related engineering fields.
* Practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructions.
* Able to read / understand Engineering electrical and mechanical schematics / drawings and follow the process for documenting redlines.
* Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, time management, decision-making, and conflict management skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Comfortable in conversing at all levels within the organization
* Demonstrated knowledge and effective use of the principles, practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization and understanding of related engineering fields.
* Current Top Secret security clearance.

DESIRED

* TS/SCI clearance and Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.
* Master's degree or greater in related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
* Experience directly related to construction, installation, testing, and maintenance of undersea equipment.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
