Job Brief

This is a Part-Time position estimated at about 20 hours per week.

In this position you will provide full-spectrum DIGITAL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING (DSE) SUPPORT to the Global Hawk Program Office, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide operationally relevant digital systems engineering support to assist with technology development activities that identify, analyze, evaluate, test, certify, and implement new capabilities.

Possess knowledge of DoD acquisition management in aircraft weapons, electronic warfare, small and large UAS, platform power generation, avionics, and ISR systems.

Support the development of Enterprise-level solutions focusing on streamlining processes across all aspects of the organization and evolve Digital Engineering strategies that enable a digital acceleration and transformation of tools and processes. In this role, the candidate will spearhead the analysis of the Enterprise system architecture strengths and weaknesses, plan and implement strategies to optimize integration, and provide training and resources to Enterprise members on those strategies and initiatives.

The candidate will facilitate strategic Enterprise technology planning to provide coordination and alignment across all Enterprise members to effectively support operational requirements, by researching, analyzing, proposing, and driving solutions that leverage the most advanced technologies appropriate and in alignment with Enterprise technology strategies.

Contribute to division Digital Transformation efforts, initiating/maturing/pursuing MBSE and other innovative methods of Digital Life Cycle Management as applied to Enterprise programs.

Assist in creating and maintaining a DSE SharePoint site for the division, and support organizing and inputting data into the site for the IPT and Division leadership.

Make recommendations to the Government about how to better utilize the SharePoint site and assist others in uploading/downloading, designing, and utilizing the sites.

Make data available in a user-friendly format and assist in presentation of the information for staff meetings and other meetings as necessary.

The candidate will assist in creating and maintaining databases and tailoring automated systems in support of division processes.

Apply the principles, criteria, and procedures of the DoD to include DoD 5000.01 and DoD 5000.02 as well as the policies and processes of USAF, HQ AFMC, AFLCMC Engineering Directorate, and Division level to all AFLCMC/WIA engineering tasks.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant Engineering discipline. Engineering Management and Engineering Technology type degrees do not fulfil this requirement.

A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 4 years of experience on DoD acquisition programs/projects is required.

Requires a Secret clearance on the first day of employment.

Applicant selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Possess the ability to understand and assimilate highly complex technical information, and assist in the assessment, operational planning, testing, and transition of technology to support new USAF programs of record.
