Job Description:

Position Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Location: North Bend, WA

Reporting to: Production Supervisor

Open to Relocation: No

On-Site/Hybrid/Remote: On-Site

Travel Required: 0%

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of work related to the shipping, receiving and material control throughout the shop.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Receive and check in goods to purchase orders of receiving slips as to identification, type, part number, dimension, size, quantity and general quality.
  • Visually inspect goods received for damage from handling and transit, and process damage report.
  • Perform various assigned duties having to do with the preparation, expediting and dispatching of shipments.
  • Prepare Bills of Lading.
  • Instruct packers and craters as to type of packing and crating requirements necessary to insure safe transport for domestic and export shipments.
  • See that docks are kept clear of materials as received so as to not impede further arrivals.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Access computer and process all transactions required for the receiving and/or shipping function.
  • Requisition crating lumber, shipping containers, supplies, etc. required for shipments.
  • Use measuring scale, weighing and counting scales.
  • Work under general supervision; instructions and guidance provided on procedural changes, new regulations, etc.
  • Interpret order acknowledgement as to ship loose bill of material.
  • Comply with Terex quality standards through error prevention and by meeting such requirements with zero defects.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Certain personal protective equipment is required.
  • Compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety required.
  • Strong and respectful communication skills on a daily basis when interacting with vendors and team members.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Forklift certified.


Salary: The compensation for this position is $20.00-$30.00 hourly. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
