Job Overview:

As the Housekeeping Department Manager at our luxury resort, you will oversee the daily operations within your designated area of the rooms department. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that our team of housekeeping staff consistently meets and exceeds the meticulous standards of cleanliness and attention to detail that our guests expect. In this leadership role, you will foster a culture of engagement and excellence among employees, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and development. Job Specifications:

Onsite: Black Desert Resort

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year Round / Full Time

The budgeted range starts at $50,000 - $55,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Oversee cleanliness and appearance standards for all housekeeping areas: guest rooms, spa, locker rooms, and public spaces.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures for the housekeeping department.
  • Create and adjust staff shift schedules weekly.
  • Regularly inspect guest rooms, hallways, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness.
  • Schedule daily, weekly, monthly cleaning tasks, special projects, and cleaning requests.
  • Manage staff across all levels, including supervisors and line-level employees.
  • Foster a team environment that celebrates success and inspires excellence.
  • Effectively manage diverse personalities, ensuring a calm atmosphere under pressure.
  • Drive key factors for employee engagement and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle employee coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations.
  • Equip staff with necessary tools and support for guest service, including availability for questions, issue resolution, and clear task direction.
  • Address and resolve guest issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with managers from other departments to enhance guest experience.
  • Partner with Human Resources and the Director of Rooms for training and staff development.
  • Work with the Director of Rooms to manage equipment and supply inventory.
  • Prioritize safety, adhere to standards, and promote a solution-oriented team environment.
  • Constantly aware of the guest experience, ensuring positive interaction, and professional communication.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in luxury hotel housekeeping management.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong in negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and administrative abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Self-disciplined with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible schedule with weekend and shift availability based on business needs.
  • Team-oriented with a professional and well-groomed appearance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of the Spanish language



Compensation Range:
The compensation for this position is $50,000.00/Yr. - $55,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
