Our PCs conduct business under and offer a customized business approach, honoring what’s special about each local marketplace. Welker-McKee is one of those trade names and is looking for a Showroom Salesperson at their Cleveland, OH location. The salary range for the Showroom Salesperson is $60,000 - $100,000 annually. A Welker McKee / Elements Showroom Sales Designer is expected to: Represent the Profit Center in a professional and ethical manner, in accordance with Company policies and procedures Be courteous and friendly; providing outstanding customer service Be innovative and creative Know the products and services they are selling Job Summary: Showroom Sales personnel provide expert product selection assistance and design advice to our showroom clients. They ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction in order to meet or exceed the established sales and gross profit goals, and to increase profit sharing. Job Duties: Assist the showroom customers, assessing their needs, guiding their product selections and successfully closing the sale. Collaborate with clients contractors, builder, general contractor and/or designer to ensure project needs are met. Provide customers with reliable information regarding product specifications, product suitability, pricing and availability. Build a relationship and manage an account portfolio which consists of contractors, builders, architects and designers. Meet or exceed the monthly required GP$ target of $100,000 and GP% target of 35%. Enter Sales Orders and Bids, expedite purchases and maintain customer communication to ensure accurate and timely order processing. Process showroom sale returns and refund paperwork in accordance with Company policy and procedure. Maintain product literature files to ensure the most current and accurate information is always provided to our clients. Keep showroom clean, neat, current, stocked and safely displayed. Attend industry-related functions and professional events to learn about new products, design industry trends and build business relationships. Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Outstanding customer service and verbal/telephone communications skills. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors and co-workers. Comprehensive knowledge of product and kitchen/bath design trends; able to suggest appropriate related products for purchase and to promote the value-added services offered. Identify customer needs, provide profitable solutions and close the sale. Able to plan, organize and multi-task. Able to learn and operate (keyboard and mouse) the applicable software system (Eclipse, Mincron) used to process orders. Read, write, speak and understand English. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Education, Training, Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2+ years in customer service and sales, plumbing showroom sales preferred Knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends Knowledge of products sold in the showroom preferred Use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word) to communicate via email, to maintain customer contact files and appointment calendar Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Profit Center may stock, sell and use hazardous materials – PVC pipe cement, pool chemicals, torch gas, propane gas, solvents, etc. You may be required to handle these materials.
