Role :- VMware AWS Cloud Engineer (10+ years) Location : Rockville, MD 20850, USA Option: can be remote till April 15th Job Description :- Responsibilities: Expert in Data center technology ( VMware/Hyper-V/Storage) Management, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-based data center infrastructure, with a focus on AWS services. Deploy, configure, and maintain virtualization technologies within the AWS cloud environment, ensuring scalability and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions for various workloads and applications. Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to identify and resolve performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and service disruptions. Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and compliance standards. Support data center operations, including hardware provisioning, network connectivity, and resource allocation within AWS. Assist in the automation of routine tasks and workflows using AWS CloudFormation, AWS CLI, or other relevant tools. Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and end-users, addressing cloud-related inquiries and issues. Document cloud architecture, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with industry standards. Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and trends, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge to drive innovation and efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Previous experience working with cloud-based technologies, particularly AWS. Proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch. Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts, such as VPC peering, VPN, and Direct Connect. Experience with virtualization platforms and tools, such as VMware, Hyper-V, or AWS EC2 instances. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and infrastructure as code. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) preferred. Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development in cloud computing and related technologies.
