We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst supporting our Brand Finance Team who will grow at our corporate office in Marysville, Ohio.

The Brand Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in providing financial planning, analysis, and recommendations to support key business decisions by Brand Marketers to grow and develop SMG's brands. The ideal candidate will be flexible, a self-starter, able to prioritize and communicate effectively, and will exhibit strong accounting and finance skills.

In this role you will:

• Provide financial planning and analysis to support assigned brand(s)
• Perform analysis on pricing actions, innovation launches, promotional activity, excess and obsolete inventory and key brand initiatives
• Assist in developing strategic long-range and annual plans, monthly forecasting, and variance analysis
• Monitor Brand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Point-of-Sale (POS) performance, retail inventory levels, sales, mix profitability

• Collaborate with business partners to develop management reporting and presentations
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, book journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Calculate weekly cashflow settlements and develop cashflow forecasts
• Other ad-hoc analysis as needed to support business decisions

What you'll need to be successful:

• Four-year degree in finance or accounting is required
• CPA, MBA or other professional designation a plus
• Three to five years of professional finance or accounting experience
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines; strong organizational skills
• Financial and accounting aptitude, to analyze financial information
• Possess solid communication skills in both verbal and written aspects
• Strong initiative and leadership, ability to work with minimal direction
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $85,100.00 - $100,100.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
