About this job

This person works directly with residents teaching new skills and helping residents who exhibit challenging behaviors. This person assists residents in completing routines including bathing, toileting, and dressing and is responsible for documenting programs, behavior charts, and log notes. This person is responsible for supervising the residents, ensuring a clean safe environment, and participating in community teaching and recreation activities. This is a driving position and you must be 25 to drive for the organization.  

 

Available Shifts:

Friday- 2p-10p, Saturday- 8a-8p, Sunday- 8a-8p, Monday 2p-10p

Sat & Sun 9:00am-9:00pm/Mon&Fri 2 pm-10pm

Part time: 3pm to 10pm 

Duties and Responsibilities:

§ Uphold the mission, values, policies and procedures of Roundup Fellowship.

§ Supervise residents at home and in community settings ensuring their safety.

§ Assist residents to complete daily routines and programs. This includes hands on assistance with toileting, changing diapers, dressing, showering/bathing, toothbrushing, and other personal care tasks.

§ Intervene in behavior management as indicated in individual crisis intervention and behavior modification programs.

§ Perform case management responsibilities for at least one client including writing treatment plans, quarterly reports and crisis interventions, developing programs to meet treatment plan goals, coordinating resources, and ensuring proper program documentation in all file systems.

§ Maintain frequent and professional communication with supervisors, family members, schools, therapists, and other professionals or significant others.

§ Complete appropriate documentation including log notes, communication notes, and incident reports.

§ Perform basic cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

§ Participate in meetings and training as scheduled or requested by supervisor.

§ Administer medication as prescribed following proper procedures.

§ Participate in the organizations CQI process.

§ Provide feedback to the management team when there are concerns about policies and procedures potentially re-traumatizing clients.

§ Responsible for supporting and maintaining a physically and psychologically safe environment.

§ Uphold principles of the trauma informed principles of Roundup Fellowship.

§ Participate in training and events that specifically address the intersection of trauma with culture, history, race, gender, location, and language.

§ Recognize the impact of vicarious trauma on the workforce and continually assess in supervision signs and symptoms of vicarious trauma as well as self-care plans.

§ Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

§ Minimum age of 25.

§ High school graduate (or equivalent) and one year experience in human services OR Two years of college level course work.

§ Ability to read, write, and speak the English Language for required paperwork, testing, and professional communication.

§ Ability to operate a computer utilizing Microsoft Office.

§ Colorado Drivers license and the ability to drive a 10 passenger vehicle.

§ Satisfactory Trails database and CBI record check.

§ Ability to do simple math calculations and analyze data.

§ Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure while dealing with a variety of emotions and frustrations.

§ Requires scheduling flexibility.

§ Ability to work as a team member.

§ Ability to communicate effectively with respect and tact in order to give, receive, and analyze information, formulate plans, prepare materials.

Required qualifications:

  • 21+ years or older
  • At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in the personal care & services industry
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid auto liability insurance
  • Access to personal devices for work: smartphone - any type
  • Background check
  • Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Review
  • Driving test
  • Speaks English
  • Reads English
  • Able to stand for duration of shift
  • Able to comfortably lift 70 lbs
  • Available to work: holidays
  • Available to work: early morning
  • Available to work: weekends
  • Willing to travel locally
