Sandblast Operator

Major Tool & Machine (MTM) is seeking to hire and train candidates who have experience working as hands-on operators, tradesmen, or laborers in industrial, mechanical, or construction industries, and who are interested in obtaining a role in an industrial manufacturing setting.

As a Sandblast Operator, you will be responsible for producing conforming components that meet all blueprint dimensions within the said tolerances.

Duties:

Operate sandblast booth to blast parts with hose, removing imperfections to a certain surface finish to prepare for coating.

Review customer drawings for blast requirements

Perform equipment checks on sandblast booth daily

Set up sandblast apparatus in a safe manner

Follow directions and distinguish between specific medias to use

Tape off all protected areas

General housekeeping duties

Operate fork truck occasionally

Assist with paint prep when needed

Required Experience:

Prior experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is required; with prior Sandblast experience preferred.

Also willing to consider construction/ carpentry experience with strong work ethic and willingness to learn a new trade.

Prior forklift operations experience is beneficial.

Education:

High school diploma or GED is required.
