The Senior Desktop Support Technician will be the backbone of our IT support, providing advanced technical assistance for our computer systems, hardware, and software. This role demands a high level of expertise, patience, and communication skills, as you'll work closely with individuals across the organization, including directly supporting our CEO. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can handle demanding situations with professionalism, and is passionate about delivering exceptional support and solutions.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Respond to employee queries by resolving technical issues, either in person or remotely.
  • Follow up with employees to ensure issues have been resolved.
  • Gain feedback from employees about computer usage.
  • Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.
  • Set up equipment for new users and perform routine maintenance.
  • Directly support the CEO and executive team, managing and optimizing technology in the executive office and boardroom for seamless executive operations and presentations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for the maintenance and repair of office technology as needed.
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
  • Provide training as needed for new employees and new entities associated with M&A activity.
  • Document internal procedures and maintain records of repairs and fixes.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends and security standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant field preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of popular operating systems, software troubleshooting, and hardware repair.
  • Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to a varied audience.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to provide on-call support in case of emergency or scheduled maintenance.
  • Willingness and/or previous experience in training users on software systems.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar will be an advantage.
