Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic detail-oriented individual with a preferred background in catering events to join our team as a Catering Sales Coordinator for a SEASONAL POSITION from May 17 through October 18. This role is pivotal in supporting the Director of Sales and ensuring seamless execution of our services, setting us apart in the industry. The ideal candidate will foster positive guest and teammate interactions, anticipate needs, and provide accurate information about our resort and special events. This is an excellent role to elevate your professional hospitality career. Qualifications:

Your Primary Role:

Detail and upsell all aspects of events which include but are not limited to guiding and recommending menu selections, room set-up, vendor coordination, etc.
Accuracy is the key to your success! Ensure accuracy of detail in Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) which include guest counts, event timelines, event space, and pricing
Coordinate and ensure successful execution of all programs and services contracted through the catering department
Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with operational departments, particularly the banquet services and culinary teams, to address any deficiencies
Liaise with external vendors to optimize relationships, profitability, and service standards
Demonstrate a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction and organizational success through active engagement and productivity
Ensure accuracy in post event invoicing
Assist in creating estimates, Banquet Event Orders, and scheduling Site Tours Additional Job Preferences:

Associates degree preferred
Minimum 2 years' experience in Catering Sales or other higher end Catering environments
Ability to effectively work with the PMS (Property Management System)
Efficient with MS platforms Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays during events
