About the Position:
Reporting to the Market Director and Cologix Operations leaders, the Director of Infrastructure is responsible for the maintenance and repair teams at Cologix Data Centers in Columbus, OH. They will be responsible for a team of Facility Managers and Engineers who, in turn, will be supported by Electricians, HVAC technicians and contractors. In addition to day-to-day management of the infrastructure team, the Director of Infrastructure, in conjunction with the Director of operations and the Market Director, will be responsible for selection of support vendors, contract negotiations and vendor management.
What you do daily:
- Lead a team in charge of maintaining all critical infrastructure for Cologix Columbus Data Centers.
- Staff teams of HVAC technicians, Electricians and Engineers and be responsible for team growth, training, and reviews.
- Reporting on ongoing repairs, in progress projects and associated CapEx and OpEx budgeting.
- Work with the operations teams (internal customer) to ensure that all data centers exceed customer redundancy obligations during maintenance/repair activities.
- Responsible for subject matter expertise and serving as an escalation point for the operations organization.
- Interact with the sales, sales engineering, and construction teams
What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)
- Expert level understanding of data center power and cooling infrastructure and methodologies
- Be able to operate and maintain fan walls, CRACs, air cooled chillers, cooling towers, UPS, PDU, busway, and other critical systems as needed
- Ten plus years in the data center industry with a focus on facilities
- S. in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred
- Experience with MS Project and Excel
- Previous experience managing and building teams
- Project planning and budgeting
- Be available for on-call

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
