About the Opportunity:
∙ Job Title: Magnet Assembly Team Leader
∙ Pay: $20/Hour
∙ Location: Shakopee, MN 
∙ Schedule: 2nd Shift, Mon-Thurs 2:30PM-1AM with optional O/T on Saturdays.
 
Daily functions:
  1. Operate coil winding machines to transfer wire from spools to winding arbors, bobbins, and tubes to produce coils.
  2. Set guides, keys, and switches to prepare equipment for operation.
  3. Mount and position materials, such as leads, sleeving insulation onto coils by crimping, soldering, brazing, or by other methods as required.
  4. Install connectors, plugs, wire guides, and other various components to magnet housing.
  5. Assemble coils into magnet housing.
  6. Prepare epoxy components for various products.
  7. Epoxy and cure coils and friction material into magnet housing and rotors
  8. Inspect and test magnets and other goods.
  9. Follow all safety rules and procedures.
  10. Perform other duties as required or assigned.
  11. Help in other departments if needed.
Desired qualifications:
  1. High school or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 6 months as a Team Lead in a manufacturing setting
  3. Strong leadership abilities, demonstrated by past experiences in a leadership position.
  4. Previous magnet or mechanical assembly experience required.
  5. Entry level
  6. Basic computer skills
  7. Basic math skills (standard and metric)
  8. Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
  9. Ability to follow work written instructions accurately.
  10. Ability to do accurate work at a rapid pace. 
  11. Ability to work with repetitive tasks.
  12. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal) 
  13. Ability to work well independently as well as with others.
  14. Attention to detail.
  15. Ability to multi-task
  16. Ability to proficiently read and write in English. 
  17. Ability to follow all safety rules. 
  18. Ability to effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines.
  19. Willingness to learn soldering.
  20. Ability to see and work with small parts with or without accommodation.
  21. Ability to document daily work progress.
  22. High hand-eye coordination
Physical requirements:
  1. Ability to sit 75% of shift.
  2. Ability to walk, lift, push, pull, and stand as needed.
  3. Very repetitive tasks and motions
