Position Description:
Capital Markets Director plays a critical role for FCBT by cultivating and maintaining relationships with Farm Credit system originators and commercial banks. This role provides leadership and assistance to the lending team to explore both traditional and non-traditional business opportunities for the bank and associations. The Director will be responsible for monitoring, servicing, and actively growing a portfolio of loan participations and syndications in excess of $1 billion.

Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:
Working in our hybrid work design you will:

- Develop strong relationships with other originators to cultivate participation and syndication opportunities.
- Travel to lender meetings and industry conferences to build professional relations hips with originating banks and customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the loan participation and syndications markets by leveraging industry knowledge, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
- Collaborate with the Credit Officers to make quality credit decisions, consistent with the bank's underwriting philosophy.
- Coordinate closely with Lending, Credit, Legal, Finance, and Accounting staff to ensure timely and high quality delivery of service to all customers.

What You Bring to the Team:
It's an important role that covers many skills.

This position requires: Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field with advanced training, certification or degree preferred. A minimum of ten (10) or more years' experience in all facets of lending including, but not limited to, the marketing, extension, administration, and analysis of commercial credit. The incumbent shou ld have experience and knowledge in the analysis of complex credits as well as negotiating expertise in dealing with commercial type loans. The position will require the incumbent to have strong marketing skills and experience in order to successfully develop business relationships with correspondent commercial banks, insurance companies, and other Farm Credit institutions. The incumbent should have experience in working with financial institutions in structuring and evaluating various loan participations and credit relationships, as well as syndication.
The position requires skills and knowledge in credit administration, loan syndication, financial analysis and accounting standards, credit policies and procedures, as well as program and product development. Excellent interpersonal, public speaking and communication skills are required along with a thorough knowledge of sound business practices in the areas of commercial lending, including credit standards, product and service marketing techniques and programs. The incumbent should have transactions and where required, hold the appropriate license or certification to accomplish the task. The position will require time management skills with travel up to 50 percent.
