REMOTE OPPORTUNITY HIRING IMMEDIATELY

We are looking for energetic, high output, task-minded individuals to join a fast-paced, growing business to handle outbound and/or inbound sales support activities. Candidates must have above average phone and email consulting skills, be tech savvy and familiar with internet software. Inside Sales is a key strategic pillar of growth for Staples Connect, and this role is critical to accelerating change and super-charging this high-potential business. Be a part of a team responsible for servicing customers in Large Quantity Products by preparing bids and quotes with the goal of converting sales. You will be consulting with internal business partners and customers regarding sales opportunities to uncover all appropriate details to provide an accurate and competitive large quantity quote. In addition, you will serve as an advocate for customer needs and maintain relationships between departments. You will work closely with our Retail team to make a strong presentation for our category offerings and increase the number of customers buying products from Staples Connect.

Key deliverables and main areas of focus:
  • Meet/exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) SLA adherence, quote accuracy, activity rates and effective pipeline management.
  • Engaging with business partners/customers via telephone and email to analyze their needs and customize recommendations to upsell/cross sell
  • Prepare bids and quotes to business partners/customers with accuracy and speed. Follow defined procedures and processes, and complete all required documentation for customers, as well as entries to support system(s)
  • Be fiscally responsible as it relates to presenting quotes at profitable margin rates
  • Provide ongoing follow up on all open product requests through request completion
  • Effectively probe business partners/customers to fully qualify sales opportunities
  • Present quote, overcome objections, and find solutions related to quote requests to secure the sale
  • Conducting business dealings in a professional and proactive manner
  • Be a trusted advisor for internal and external contacts
  • Be fast & flexible in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Represent the best of Staples Connect in promoting products, services, and commitment to customer satisfaction to support business retention and expansion
  • Provide value-based solutions that focus on customer needs, ensure customer retention and growth
  • Collaborate with account owners, internal business partners including Sales Managers, Retail Partners, and vendors to ensure seamless customer experience and drive sales results
  • Connect directly with customers to place transactional orders
  • Proficient use of software inclusive of Salesforce.Com, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook to communicate quotes and related communication daily
Essential skills and experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Professional and effective written and verbal documentation/communication skills
  • Self-starter, problem solver, task/results oriented
  • Strong organization, prioritization, follow-up, and time management skills are a must
  • Proven ability to sell as part of a team
  • Comfortable with financial sales tracking and analysis
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Coachable, adaptable, able to incorporate feedback and changes quickly
Preferred skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years sales/sales support experience
  • Exceptional phone and e-mail communication skills
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of AS400 is an asset but not required
  • Previous experience in the Furniture, Office supplies and Technology field
