What You'll Do

IMA's Executive Risk Solutions (ERS) capability group is seeking an Account Executive to join our team! This position will be responsible for the marketing of new and renewal business for our ERS team. A successful applicant must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be adaptable and flexible, strong problem solving and relationship building abilities. This role can be located out of our Denver, CO, Dallas, TX, Overland Park, KS, or Wichita, KS offices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Markets new and renewal business including: D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, Cyber
  • Analyze client financial statements and insurance contracts
  • Identify areas for improvement within insurance programs and develops strategies for implementing any changes
  • Communicate with insurance markets and effectively uses negotiation skills to secure favorable program terms
  • Develop underwriter relationships and an understanding of the executive liability marketplace (including carrier appetite, capabilities, and performance history) in order to effectively represent clients
  • Understand leading insurance company policy forms and communicates any differences to internal IMA team members as well as to external underwriter and client contacts
  • Maintain effective working relationships with all client contacts (typically CFO and/or General Counsel positions)
  • Contribute to the development of client proposals and learn to effectively communicate proposal material to clients
  • Assist producers with sales efforts related to ERS products
  • Support and demonstrate IMA's core values
  • Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
  • Other duties that fall within scope of job
You Should Have:
  • College degree with consideration given to those with an advanced degree (i.e., Juris Doctorate, Master's in finance and/business administration)
  • Working experience with executive liability insurance coverage required
  • Strong Math skills, including familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts and commissions required
  • Property and casualty license required for state of business and fulfills continuing education requirements to retain license
  • Moderate travel required
