IDD Case Manager

One of our DC government partners is looking for experienced case managers to support services provided to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities here in the district. This individual will be responsible for traveling to various providers throughout the city and assessing the programs and services being offered. This is a long-term contract that will interview and start ASAP!

Duties:

• Reviews the quality of services being provided in the DC service delivery system for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
• Home based but most of the days would be working in the field conducting review activity in people’s homes, in day programs, or at provider offices
• Surveyor activity includes record reviews, interviews, and observations
• The work primarily takes place in DC, with some activity in the Maryland and Virginia outskirts of DC
• Travel occurs daily, though a minimal amount of desk review activity can take place in the home
• Time management and task management are critical skills needed to be successful in this position
• This is a full time position (40 hours/week)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably the degree is in a Human Services field, but this can vary)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or in the area of quality, 4+ years preferred
• Computer skills are a must to navigate applications, use Outlook, conduct web meetings, and enter data
• Need to understand the IDD service delivery system
• Need strong writing skills, to be able to critically think, and to compile information in a meaningful manner apply.
