Job Description
Job: Maintenance Tech
Classification: Non-exempt
Schedule: 10-hour days, Monday- Thursday. Overtimed as assigned.
Job Summary: This position will provide regular upkeep of B & G Industries, Inc. keeping the facility operating and repairing to wide range of repair tasks.
Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance around the building. Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage. Works on damaged electrical wiring to no shortages occur. Maintain the building HVAC system to keep the facility functioning properly. Apply preventative maintenance to building to reduce risk of future problems. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Skills: Must have plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge to be able to repair issues around the building. Attention to detail to ensure all maintenance jobs are completed. Must have interpersonal skills to interact with employees.
Physical requirements: Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active with different tasks. May have to lift up-to 50 lbs.
