Job DescriptionEducation, Experience, Required Skills
High school degree or equivalent
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the CNC Machining Industry and five (5) years supervisory experience in associated manufacturing.
Good math and measurement skills
Independent & self-motivated
Good problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills
Strong supervisory skills, including training, counseling and disciplinary.
Understanding of company health, safety, and environmental policies
Extensive knowledge of production processes and equipment in the department or shift under their supervision.
Authority And Responsibility
Prioritizes Safe work practices and Safe environment for his staff.
Oversees Leadmen and laborers to ensure all employees under their supervision are wearing appropriate PPE and are working safely.
Ensures that weekly production and labor schedules in the department, shift, are developed and oversees the use and submittal of production forms and other paperwork to assure it is being completed accurately.
Coordinates with the Maintenance Department on the maintenance and repair of equipment.
Purchase or materials needed supplies to assure the department runs smoothly and safely.
Oversees and develops Leadmen/ Zone Leaders to ensure that all work is being done accurately and in a safe manner.
- Responsible for Overseeing and ensures cleanliness of department or location.
Conducts on-the-job training of employees.
Addresses performance/ safety issues etc., which may require disciplinary action.
Reviews, maintains records, approves, and makes recommendations regarding employee requests such as for PTO, vacation, personal leave, etc. Assures correct information is submitted to payroll in a timely manner.
Completes all ERP Entries on time/ daily reports and inspections.
Programming equipment and reading drawings as needed
Work with sales and engineering and quality as needed.
Inspects and ensures all parts being shipped are in spec and in line with
customer expectations prior to shipping.
Supporting Continuous Improvement agendas i.e., Lean Manufacturing
