Direct Support Professional 

Hourly Salary: $16.59 - $17.20/hr.

Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Available 

Shifts: Weekdays and or Weekends (various shifts available)

Location: Charles County, MD
 

Job Description:

An ideal candidate should demonstrate compassion and a genuine interest in aiding individuals with varying abilities in their daily routines, encompassing tasks such as toileting, bathing, and feeding. Creativity is a valued trait, enabling the applicant to offer support that promotes community engagement and facilitates participation in social events. Essential qualities include a positive outlook and a supportive demeanor.
 

Duties Include but not limited to:

• Implementing goals
• Monitoring/documenting progress
• Administer medications
• Assist individuals with planning their day
• Assisting individual with laundering and house cleaning 
• Supporting individuals with meal preparation and grocery shopping
• May be required transport individual on outings in the community

 Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, pushing and pulling 
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience
• Valid US Driver's license with (2 or less) points on driving record
• Experience working with disabled adults preferred, but not required
• Able to pass a medication administration course    
• Basic Computer Skills
