Network Delivery operation Engineer
Skill level= L2 and L3
Location: USA (remote)
Skill = F5, Palo Alto, Network operation

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure stable and reliable ISP network services (e.g. access products, service networks and
core network).
2. Day-to-day network performance monitoring.
3. Network troubleshooting and fault analysis; hardware troubleshooting and repair.
4. Trouble ticket generation and response; carrier interface and escalations.
5. Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools.
6. Application of configuration changes via our change control systems and processes.
7. Installation of network hardware and software.
8. Participate in a 24x7 call-out rota.

Candidate Profile
1. Experience of working on network equipment in an ISP environment, a large NOC or other such
company associated with networking.
2. CCNA certified or equivalent level of knowledge.
3. Good understanding on F5 Load Balancer and Palo Aulto products.
4. Basic understanding of the following technologies: IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP); IP filtering
and firewalling; Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS); Quality of Service; MPLS; Ethernet (STP,
RSTP, .1q VLANs, QinQ).
5. Good working knowledge of Palo Aulto/ F5 / BRAS / LNS / L2TP / DSL.
6. Basic understanding of AAA platforms such as Radius and/or TACACS.
7. Experience with Juniper, Foundry / Brocade, Cisco, Adva and Ericsson (Redback) are relevant.
8. Familiar working in a data centre environment.
9. Knowledge fibre and WDM systems.
10. Knowledge of Openreach access products (MPF/SMPF, GEA, FCP, B-BBUSS) desirable.
11. Basic Linux/UNIX skills ideal but not essential.
12. Able to analyse problems and conduct effective fault diagnosis and system recovery.
13. Clear communicator (written and verbal).
14. Capable of prioritising and managing own workload.
15. Self-motivated.
16. Capable of working/using own initiative with minimal supervision.
17. Keen to contribute ideas, share knowledge and help others develop.
18. Interest in leading edge technologies. Keen to develop own skillsandknowledge.
