Parts Associate

Optimum RV, a growing full-service RV Dealer, is seeking a Parts Associate to support both Sales and Service departments.

• Guide each customer through the functions and usages for their RV 
• Perform and demonstrate the proper hitch set up on all travel trailer deliveries, and proper coupling procedures for all fifth wheel deliveries. 
• Educate each customer with the operation of their brake controller and confirm that they are able to comfortably operate. 
• Responsible for ensuring the delivery area’s appearance and cleanliness. 
• Responsible for ensuring units scheduled for delivery the next business day are ready for transfer from the make ready area to the assigned delivery pad. 
• Participate in the daily department opening/closing procedures as defined in written department policy. 
• Coordinating with the Service and Parts Departments.
• Walking the RV with the customer, taking notes on any needed changes. 
• Listening to client concerns and determining their needs. 
• Help control and maintain inventory 
• Assist technicians with acquiring parts to help shop run efficiently 
• Locate and secure parts from various vendors for shop jobs 
• Stock parts shelves in correct fashion, making sure parts are sorted in bins, well marked and neat 
• Use online catalogs for parts look-ups, identifying the location of parts through computer system and applying parts to work orders and service tickets 
• Order parts not in stock if, after discussion with Parts Manager, it is determined that the parts are needed 
• Answer parts phones when front counter is overloaded 
• All other responsibilities as assigned.   

• RV Parts Experience preferred but not required
• High School diploma, GED or trade school equivalent 
• Valid driver’s license 

• Pleasant and professional etiquette. 
• Excellent communication skills. 
• A willingness and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment 
• Work independently and multi-task
