Job Summary:
Holy Angels Residential Facility is in search of a Dietary Kitchen Cook/Porter to help to ensure high standards of cooking, cleanliness and sanitation are being met in the kitchen.
Specific Skills and Responsibilities
Cook and follow menu for meal prep
Follow health, hygiene and safety procedures in the kitchen
Receive weekly deliveries, store, label and date items in the refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage areas
Wash dishes and utensils operating dishwasher
Wash pots and pans using 3 compartment sinks
Clean and sanitize equipment on daily, weekly, and monthly schedule
Sweep and mop kitchen floors daily and as needed
Sweep and mop dining room daily and as needed
Clean spills as they occur
Deliver food to designated areas
Move heavy objects and equipment
Keep food and supply storage areas clean and organized
General and heavy cleaning of the kitchen
Performs all other duties as requested by the Dietary Manager
Qualifications:
Must be able to communicate with other Dietary Cooks
Must have 1-5 years experience cooking in a kitchen, industrial facility preferred
Must maintain a current and valid drivers license to drive for Holy Angels
Education:
GED or High School Diploma Required
ServSafe Certification a plus
Work Environment:
Must be able to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
Physical Demands:
Walk, stand, sit, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, use hands and lift up to 50lbs, 2/3s of the time
Climb ladders
