Part-Time Sitters

Enjoy working with children, but need some flexibility in your schedule? Jovie of Fairfax is now hiring part-time, full-time, and seasonal caregivers. We provide a variety of flexible scheduling options. You create your own schedule! We are looking for creative, energetic, and responsible individuals who truly enjoy spending time with and taking care of children. Here are example schedules that are lucrative for our caregivers:

M-F, 8AM-6PM - This can be one or more days. (The most requested by families!!!)
M-F, 5PM-11 PM - This is for the family who needs care for the occasional date night.
Weekend, 10AM-10PM - It is very unlikely a shift will be this long but a family may need your help during the day or at night.  

Pay Range:

We pay $15 - $18/hour with incentives and bonuses.

The day to day:

• Make sure kids are safe
• Nannies who are thoughtful and measured, stays calm with the kids
• Proactive and creative, ask questions that need to be asked and then take action
• Not on their phone–only use in case of emergency
• Give kids equal attention and time- can connect with both
• Have an agenda for the day–plenty of activities planned
• Clean up after daily activities/meals
• Help the children complete their daily chores

What you’ll need:

• Patience and communication skills to successfully interact with the children, understand their needs, and help them be receptive to your requests
• Problem-solving skills to be able to successfully deal with everyday issues that inevitably occur
• Loving, enthusiastic, and full of energy 
• At least 2 years of childcare experience is necessary (paid or unpaid)
• High School Degree or GED
• Access to a safe and reliable vehicle for transportation
• Driver's license 
• CPR certified or willing
