Full-Time Day Custodian Position at a Church (Bellevue)

We are in search of a motivated individual who excels in a church environment and has the adaptability to work from Tuesday through Sunday. The ideal candidate will meet the qualifications outlined below and be enthusiastic about assuming the role of porter and custodian. Responsibilities encompass general cleaning, setups/teardowns, and various facility duties at a church situated on the west side of Williamson County, close to Bellevue.

Compensation:

• $17.00 per hour plus Benefits.
• Opportunity to earn an extra $0.50/hr incentive.
• Semi-monthly payment via direct deposit on the 25th and 10th of each month.
  
  

Regular Hours:

• 40 hours per week; (work days are Sunday, and Tuesday - Friday)
• Tuesdays through Fridays: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
• Sundays: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
• Off on Mondays and Saturdays
• Sunday schedules may vary during School Breaks and Religious Education calendar. Occasional Saturday work may be required for Church calendar events. Overtime may be available during extraordinary event needs.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with company and supervisor's guidelines for daily tasks and special occasions.
• Undertake regular cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, and polishing various areas such as the church sanctuary (before and after services), church offices, meeting rooms, staff kitchen, restrooms, windows, and trash collection.
• Perform cleaning in the church building after Sunday services and between sessions of the Sunday Religious Education program, as well as cleaning school classrooms used afterward.
• Assist with event setups and porter tasks, which may involve receiving and organizing package deliveries, rearranging furniture, tables, and chairs across the campus, setting up and dismantling event functions like weddings, funerals, and other church or school-related events.
• Assist with the periodically carpet cleaning and floor maintenance using appropriate equipment.
• Manage weekly laundry duties for church attire.
• Maintain organization in custodian closets and keep supplies well-stocked.

• Qualifications:
  

• Ability to perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs.
• Preferable experience in commercial cleaning, particularly in churches or school facilities.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with supervisors and peers.
• Must pass a criminal background check required to work in facilities around children.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Able to work in a smoke-free environment.
• Able to use a smartphone to clock online-based timesheets.
• Required to have a banking account (checking, savings, or payroll card) for direct deposit.
