Primary Responsibilities:

· Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students for whom you are responsible within your classroom.

· Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health

· Create daily lessons and prepare materials and classroom activities.

· Instruct students individually and in groups using teaching methods to focus on computer skills and navigation.

· Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and communicate those objectives to students.

· Assign and grade class work and homework.

· Teaching digital and internet safety and digital citizenship to all students.

· Teach computer keyboarding and applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and digital presentation.

· Demonstrating how to navigate the computer and conduct research.

· Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students’ progress.

· Collaborate with parents or guardians, teachers, social workers, and administration to resolve students’ behavior and academic problems.

· Meet with parents and guardians to discuss children’s progress and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs.

· Provide differentiated instruction, student engagement, quality pacing and rigor throughout lessons taught

· Enforce administration policies and rules governing students.

· Prepare reports on students and activities as required by administration.

· Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.

· Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers, and guide students in learning from those activities.

· Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.

· Perform administrative and supervisory duties.

· Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of elementary school programs.

· Select, store, order, issue, inventory classroom equipment materials and supplies.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree and licensure in elementary education preferred
