About the Work

Foundation GEOINT National System for Geospatial Intelligence Operations Executive (NOX) (SFP)

The Foundation GEOINT NOX Office coordinates, consolidates and prioritizes Foundation GEOINT requirements to ensure optimal use of production resources in support of the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.

Office unctions include the following:

  • Assesses requirements, readiness, and the ability to support customer plans;
  • Anticipates emerging customer needs through strategic engagement with domestic and foreign partners;
  • Coordinates as Crisis Lead;
  • Serves as the lead for DoD readiness assessment programs, including Mission Readiness Reviews, Joint Force Readiness Reviews, and Combat Support Agency Review Team assessments;
  • Provides foundation data, imagery and imagery-derived products in answering requests for information from the NEO Community, Department of State and other Federal customers.

Serves as SME in recommending strategies to implement in ensuring continued progress for each project or activity. Recommends and defines processes not currently in place or make recommendations to improve those processes currently in use. Ensures successful best practices are incorporated and recommending implementation for ongoing messaging based on organizational feedback and assessment. Produces written reports, presentations or other artifacts as required by the Government for each task assigned and shall support briefings and meetings to discuss recommendations. Builds productive relationships with senior leaders, the general workforce, and other collaborating partners.

Your Duties

  • Provide periodic support to the Joint Content Management (JCM) and Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Strategic Initiative Business Plan.
  • Assess and facilitate making NGA GEOINT content discoverable and accessible.
  • Support and interact with SF Offices, NGA, and NSG mission partners to accomplish the SF’s mission and vision.
  • Participate in SF and Foundation GEOINT forums to support the SF staff in successful accomplishment of SF responsibilities.
  • Provide support to the SF staff for operational planning and integration support.
  • Support the SF staff to coordinate and produce a variety of planning and integration documents and activities.
  • Support the SFP Staff in the management of System for Requirements Management (SRM), data architecture.
  • Assist with development and implementation of best practices, processes and procedures.
  • Support the definition and development of performance metrics, and assist with metrics analysis.
  • Support the SF staff in the development and review of a variety of SF documentation, ensuring consistency with other hierarchal documents such as the National Intelligence Priorities Framework (NIPF), Strategic Planning Guidance, IC directives, DoD directives, and NSG policy guidance.
  • Recommend and coordinate SF staff actions necessary to accomplish the mission.
  • Under the guidance of Government, acts as the interface between NGA and NSG customers and source providers. The contractor shall demonstrate proficiency with Geospatial-Intelligence sources and methods, and systems/tools

Required Skills and Experience

  • Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship
  • Demonstrated experience with Intelligence Community data and product types, missions and functions to include geospatial requirements process and production.
  • Demonstrated experience with verbal and written communication and coordination skills to effectively work with individuals at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing standard business application software for presentations, word processing, and especially spreadsheets to be able to inter-relate and effectively present data metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience in building complex formulas within Microsoft Excel to extract data from large spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated experience in data quality analysis, preparation, cleansing, formatting, and transformation.
Desired Skills
  • Demonstrated experience of Esri ArcMap and Geographic Information System (GIS) Tools to be able to extract data and inter-relate this data to other metrics and sources.
  • Demonstrated experience with Geospatial-Intelligence sources and methods, and systems/tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining future data requirements, including the prioritization process, by utilizing NSG-level guidance.
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with the prioritization and coordination of production requirements from the Combatant Commands (COCOMS), Services, and External Agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience with Esri ArcMap, GIS Tools, Joint Strategic Capabilities Plan (JSCP), and NIPF.
