Our client’s Real Estate Finance Group seeks a midlevel associate with a minimum of four years of experience to join their practice in Washington, D.C., Baltimore or Tysons.

Qualifications:

  • Experience representing borrowers, lenders, and/or government-sponsored enterprises in connection with commercial loan transactions, including experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating loan documents; reviewing, analyzing, and managing legal due diligence (such as organizational documents and ownership structure, title, survey, zoning, leases, and legal opinions)
  • Managing and closing complex commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and/or other multifamily lenders, and/or syndicated credit facilities is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate has worked on loans secured by multifamily housing, seniors housing, affordable housing, manufactured housing, and/or hotels and is comfortable training and managing junior associates and paralegals.
  • Prior law firm experience required.
  • The successful candidate has excellent oral and written communication skills is detailed oriented and organized and has and an outstanding academic record.
  • Candidates must hold a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction’s bar.
