Retirement Planners & Administrators (RPA), a Strongpoint Partner, is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Retirement Plan Administrator who will provide full client services to a designated caseload of clients, including day to day communication and management of their workflow and project deadlines. This is a great opportunity for a motivated candidate who wants to support all sides of a growing financial services firm. This individual must have strong project management skills, a high level of comfort with technology, and the personality to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment by being adaptable, creative, proactive, and eager to grow in this position as it evolves with the growth of the company.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Independently handle a caseload of 401k and cross-tested plans of A-Z administration (including loan & distributions, contributing calculations, plan documents, plan design, etc)
  • Perform plan ADP/ACP compliance testing accurately and timely
  • Provide superior client service and communication to caseload of ~65-75 plans
  • Maintain industry knowledge and share information with team members
  • Utilize administration systems and other technologies to maximize efficiencies
  • Review and recommend plan design changes to clients
  • Coordinate year-end valuation 
  • Read and interpret plan documents
  • Importing census and participant account data
  • Asset Reconciliation/Trust Accounting
  • Year-end valuation
  • Forms 5500, 8955, 5330
  • Loan, hardship, and distribution review

Requirements:

  • Between 4 -8 years of 401(k) retirement plan administration experience
  • Excellent knowledge of ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy and 401(a)(4) non-discrimination testing
  • ASPPA and/or NIPA credentials preferred
  • Experience with Relius software strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong math and/or accounting skills
  • Strong initiative, integrity, self-motivation, and results orientation
  • Ability to organize, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong MS Office experience, especially Excel and Word
