School Based Mental Health Therapist

At SMILE Therapy Services we are looking for top tier committed Licensed Mental Health Professionals who have the drive to succeed professionally with an entrepreneurial spirit! As a school-based therapist, you will report in person to provide therapy 5 days a week providing therapy, consultation and facilitating workshops. The professional will work closely with the Program Supervisor to conduct duties such as following up on referrals, conducting intake assessments, providing therapy for youth, and occasionally adults and families. Your location will be at one of the schools that SMILE is contracted with, or at a DCPS location within the Metro DC area.

We need you to help further our mission by…

• Providing mental health therapy services including assessments to individuals, families, and groups
• Travel to/from office when in person sessions are requested or deemed appropriate at the direction of the Clinical Director
• Collect health information from client and or care givers related outcome data to use for monitoring the performance and effectiveness of services provided
• Make referrals for wraparound supports when additional needs are identified
• Ability to build relationships with clients and partner with additional stakeholders and or/ outside agencies
• Complete any required school-based reports for grant monitoring purposes
• Facilitate Tier 1-3 activities at partner schools

Qualifications are important, let’s make sure it’s a match!

• Master’s degree or higher in a mental health field
• Must have current LICSW, LMFT, LPC, LGPC, LGMFT or LGSW within the state of DC.
• Previous experience with crisis and trauma-informed care.
• 1 year post master’s degree providing therapy services in person or virtually preferred.
• Other licensure relevant to industry is a PLUS.
• Training or certification in an Evidenced Based practice preferred (EMDR, ACT, TF-CBT, CPT, REBT, or IFS)
• Previous experience or interest in facilitating workshops related to mental health and wellness preferred.
• Experience using technological solutions such as Microsoft Office (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook), EHR and Telehealth platform.
• Bilingual is a PLUS

A quick reminder before you go…Shifts are 5 days per week in-person between Monday-Friday daytime shifts only; no nights, weekends or company observed holidays.
