KPC Promise Skilled Nursing Facility of Wichita Falls: The HIM Tech is responsible for processing medical records, responding to telephone requests for charts and other information and performs other duties as assigned in the Health Information Department according to policy and procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred

2. Two years experience in an acute care Health Information Department

3. Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification preferred

4. Must be able to read, write, and speak English

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical: Walking - up to 20% Standing - up to 10% Kneeling - up to 10%

Sitting - up to 25% Pushing - up to 10% Bending - up to 10%

Squatting - up to 10% Pulling - up to 5% Reaching - up to 5%

Lifting - up to 25 lbs Wrist/Finger Movements - up to 90%

Mental: Stress Level: Moderate to high

EXPOSURE RISK: Category III - Jobs in which required tasks involve no greater exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues than would be encountered by a visitor. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
