Job Description
Position Summary: The Senior Director, Network, Infrastructure, and Security maintains full responsibility for protecting the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of company information assets, including all hardware and software and the information contained therein.  This includes oversight and monitoring of all staff and systems under his/her control and leading the overall coordination of information technology services. This will be a hybrid position working out of our corporate office in either Alexandria, or Lake Mary.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of organizational IT services
  • Manage operations for desktop and laptop personal computing, help desk, email, Windows servers, midrange, mainframe systems as well as networks and security services
  • Ensure proper security controls are in place including developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas: desktop infrastructure, systems infrastructure, and network infrastructure
  • Oversee third party vendors and outsourced relationships including vendor selection and SLA management
  • Implement and support short-term and long-term strategic plans to ensure system, storage and backup infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements
  • Implement the overall IT security framework in alignment with industry best practices
  • Manage department budget, develop reports to demonstrate return on IT investment to the business
  • Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including networks, storage, VMware, Linux/Unix, backup libraries, email, etc.
  • Develop infrastructure and security project plans that develop key activities, timelines, and resource requirements needed to achieve project objectives while adhering to Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and industry best practices


Skills and Competencies:
  • Extensive expertise and demonstrated experience with infrastructure and security toolset: designing, reporting and delivering system and network solutions; end user computing, security solutions and managing to service level agreements
  • Knowledge of infrastructure and security architecture and delivery, as well as, successful service level agreement accomplishments, experience managing outsourced relationships a must
  • Ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop and execute strategies and track and measure results
  • Advanced analytical and project management skills, strong ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets, variables and situations where only limited standardization and resources exist
  • Extensive expertise in systems and network management, experience managing complex virtual and physical environments with legacy systems.
  • Experience implementing IT security working with both internal and outsourced resources.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence and speak clearly to members and employees
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task and work with minimal or no supervision
  • Knowledge and competency with current protocols and standards including Microsoft, server virtualization including VMWare, wireless technologies; monitoring tools as well as backup and archiving technologies and cloud technologies

Required Education and Experience:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field is required, or an equivalent combination of certifications and experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience managing an infrastructure team.  Minimum of 8 years at management level.
  • CISSP certification is preferred.
