Title: Operations Project Manager

Location: North Sioux City, SD

Reports to: Vice President of Operations

Job Description: The Operations Project Manager oversees, coordinates, and manages all aspects of the project, including planning, assigning responsibilities, managing resources and schedules, assembling/reviewing project deliverables and ensuring projects are completed and delivered in accordance with business needs. The Operations Project Manager also coaches, trains, and provides oversight to other Sterling employees to ensure their success.

Required Technical Skills: The Operations Project Manager should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Salesfroce.com. General computer proficiency is required. He or she should have strong communication, organization, and management skills.

Required Education/Experience: The Operations Project Manager should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a project management or related role. A high school diploma or equivalent is required and post-secondary education in business or a related field is preferred.

Requirements:

  • The ability to understand and use data to make decisions.
  • The ability identify challenges, analyzing possible solutions, and recommend the best course of action.
  • Able to communicate, coordinate, and work effectively with coworkers.
  • Very organized. Detailed and motivated worker.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and collaborator mentality.
  • Very strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a demanding environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing projects and tasks.
  • Proven working experience in project management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties, if required, in support of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within defined scope.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation is efficient and effective and productivity targets are met.
  • Delegate and communicate project tasks to team members effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation.
  • Provide weekly status updates of current/upcoming projects.
  • Report, document, and escalate issues to management as needed.
  • Identify training requirements of employees to enable them to carry out their roles effectively.
  • Ensure all required employee certifications are up to date.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure ISO quality compliance.
