Job Description

Planning activities and leading the Adults with Disabilities Day Program at the Prince William campus with other team members. Position includes hands on teaching about a variety of life skills, spiritual knowledge, social skills and independence and overall growth and development. Position also includes planning weekly and monthly activities, schedules, regular communication with volunteers and families, managing finances and expense reports and behavior management for individuals in the program. This position requires good communication skills with team members, families, participants and volunteers. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Living an exemplary Christian life by pursuing daily devotions, Scripture memory, and opportunities to share his faith
  • Plan activities, lessons on daily living skills and community outings weekly.
  • Provide leadership, teaching, direction and training for program participants.
  • Regular communication and collaboration with ADDP team members
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and All Access meetings
  • Develop and maintain safe, clean, aesthetic learning environments.
  • Communication and coordination with families, participants, caregivers and volunteers
  • Collaborate across ADDP locations
  • Support and participate in all Access events
  • Other duties as assigned by the ADDP Coordinator

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with people with special needs.
  • BA or BS degree required; divinity degree desirable
  • Able to recruit and develop teams to fulfill the mission of MBC.
  • Passion for serving the church.
