Job Description
Job Summary: Assists the Executive Housekeeper in managing the operation of the housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure orderly and attractive conditions in the hotel. Promotes an atmosphere of cleanliness and superior customer care for hotel guests. Works closely with the Executive Housekeeper and Front Office Manager and will be provided training by both departments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing the Housekeeping and Laundry staff, responsible for creating weekly work schedules for the team.
  • Create daily assignments and division of labor for the housekeeping staff.
  • Assist with cleaning hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and  other work areas
  • Assist with stripping linens from guest rooms
  • Abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
  • Assist with vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and cleaning rooms to hotel standards
  • Refurnish the room with supplies, towels etc.
  • Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
  • Assist with the management and ordering of supplies for the Housekeeping and Laundry areas.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
